Get hands-on and build a serverless API on Azure, using Functions and CosmosDB, Event Grid, and Logic Apps.

This course is an introduction to building Serverless applications on Microsoft Azure. It’s designed for developers, so whether you’re completely new to serverless, or have used serverless offerings from other cloud providers, such as AWS or GCP and want to know what Azure has to offer in this space, this course will get you up-to-speed.

We’ll start with the history and basics of serverless, help you get your development environment set-up, and when we;re finished, you’ll have a serverless Node.js API on Azure that uses Azure Functions, Event Grid and Logic Apps.

You'll learn:

The history, current state, and advantages of serverless computing
About the Azure services that can best be used to construct serverless applications
How to build a serverless Node.js API on Azure
Tips, tricks, and tools for developing, debugging and deploying Azure Functions locally
This is a hands-on course: we will be writing code and building applications throughout this course.

Although a basic understanding of node.js and APIs is required, you don’t need to be an expert at Javascript or software development to take this course. All the code we use in this course is provided for you, so you can focus on understanding the Azure products.

If you’d like to take a look at basic programming, ACG’s Coding for Cloud course is recommended.
