Several German soldiers in world war two had camera's with them during their tour. Mainly for personal reasons; to capture their training, friends, comrads, their days in the fields and later battlefields. They could be send home to girlfriends, wives, parents, family or friends but these photo souvenirs also winded up in their own photoalbums, often supplied by the Nazi government.
