The year is 1948.
The Third World War is drawing to a close, one way or the other. The Soviet Union is about to launch its final offensive on the beleaguered Allies in France and Southern Italy. The Anglo-Americans-Germans are reeling back from serious defeats in Germany, Northern, and Central Italy. Over one million men were captured in Berlin, and things looks like Stalin will win his gamble in Europe.
The situation is the opposite in Asia, with Genera MacArthur's major victory in Korea and Manchuria. The Red Army has lost over two million men in a gigantic battle of encirclement executed by the brilliant general. Only Harbin and Vladivostok are still in the Soviets' hands, while Japanese-American-Nationalist Chinese troops advance ever deeper into China against the Communists.
As Stalin looks forward to his final victory in France, American President Truman toys with using the many atomic bombs that have been produced. His only hesitation comes from the fact that the enemy apparently also has the bomb. Will Stalin's bluff hold until the very end?
General Manstein and Fuhrer Guderian, Adolf Galland, Erich Walder, Montgomery, Eisenhower, and countless others now fight together against an enemy so numerous that victory is only but a distant possibility. They fight against Zhukov and other Stalinist minions that threaten to envelop them into oblivion.
Somewhere in Germany, Otto Skorzeny is still trying to rejoin Allied lines and let them know of Stalin's terrible secret. Rommel and Auchinleck, the two former mortal enemies, now work together to assault the soviets in the Caucasus.
In Asia, McArthur fights alongside former enemy General Yamada and Chinese ally Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek to vanquish the Red Army and Mao's Communist forces once and for all in Asia.
Hanging in the balance is the future of the World. Will the forces of Communism win all of Europe and destroy the Allies? Or will President Truman take the terrible decision to erase the USSR from the map? Or else, how could the most terrible war in the history of humankind end?
This is the story of the Second World War.
