Government Finance Statistics Yearbook presents detailed financial data for central, state, and local governments of countries across the globe.
Data tables are presented in three types: world, country, and international. World tables allow users to examine the structure and relative magnitude of government operation. These tables can be used to do international comparisons of the following: major components as percentages of total expenditure and lending minus repayment; types of revenue as percentages of total revenue; expenditures by function as percentages of total expenditure; and expenditures by economic type as percentages of total expenditure and lending minus repayments. Country tables furnish data on central government revenue, grants, expenditure, lending minus repayments, financing, and debt, while the international tables list major units of general government and contain notes on data coverage for country tables.
